How to Add Custom Tokens to Watchlist

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

  • From your dashboard, access the Settings menu. The ability to add tokens to your watchlist is a benefit of the premium subscription.

Step 2: Understand the Watchlist Purpose

  • The watchlist is designed not just for any token but for those you intend to accept, requiring accurate pricing data. You have a limit of five custom tokens across all networks.

  • Use Case: It's ideal for non-USD pegged stable coins (for international users) or tokens you've created and launched, assuming they're listed on supported decentralized exchanges (DEXs) Uniswap, Pancakeswap, and Quickswap.

  • Liquidity Pool Presence: Ensure your token has a liquidity pool on these DEXs to facilitate price information retrieval.

Step 3: Adding a Token

  • Process:

    1. In settings, navigate to the watchlist section.

    2. Choose a token from Ethereum, Binance, or Polygon networks. Ensure it meets the listing and liquidity pool criteria.

    3. Use Etherscan (or equivalent services for other networks) to find the token address. CryptoCadet utilizes these platforms' APIs to auto-populate token details.

    4. Paste the token address into the designated field and save. Watch for a brief delay as the system retrieves token information.

Step 4: Saving Your Changes

  • Finalizing: Confirm any additions or removals of tokens by clicking the save icon. Remember, refreshing without saving will revert changes.

  • Mistake Correction: You can refresh the page to undo unintended changes if you haven't saved them yet.

Important Notes

  • Networks and Test Tokens: The watchlist does not support test network tokens due to the absence of trading pairs and liquidity pools, rendering price tracking infeasible.

  • Max Limit: The total limit is five custom tokens across all networks. This cumulative limit ensures focused and efficient tracking.
